Support the Semoonarians

In the Archdiocese of Kansas City in Kansas, which includes Queen of the Holy Rosary in Wea, there are approximately 30 seminarians. These young men are discerning God’s plan for their lives while they are being formed personally, academically, and spiritually to be priests of Jesus Christ. Their educational expenses are either covered or partially covered by the Archdiocese, but they all have other expenses for which they need to find funding.

In 2014, the organizers of Running with the Cows reached out to the priests and seminarians of the Archdiocese of Kansas City in Kansas to invite them to run in the race for free. The Vocation Office for the Archdiocese and the race organizers agreed to make the race a fundraiser for the seminarians to help them pay their non-educational expenses.

We invite you to help support them. When you pledge to support a seminarian runner, $10 of your pledge goes to the race costs and the rest goes to the seminarian. When you pledge to support a priest runner, the amount of the pledge over $10 goes to a general fund for all of the seminarians to use for their expenses.

The seminarians and vocation team of the Archdiocese are very grateful to you for your support. We also thank the Running with the Cows organizers for their support and hospitality. This is a great race and a great cause.
